The Year 6 students at Balgowlah North Public School ended their primary school years in the true spirit of Christmas – giving to others.
During the year the students had built six pushcarts, as part of their science and technology studies. With Christmas approaching they decided to run a silent auction for the pushcarts, donating the money raised to Manly-Manado.
“The students really wanted to give back to the poor and what better way to do this than via our local community partnership, Manly-Manado,” said Principal, Vicki Treble.
Well done Balgowlah North. The $350 you raised will provide one family with the opportunity to release themselves out of poverty in Manado. What a fantastic Christmas gift !
